Coronavirus and Geoffrey Butlers Cycles: What we are doing?

We are taking the COVID-19 situation seriously with the utmost consideration for the well being and health of our customers and staff, and will update this page with any developments/actions at Geoffrey Butler Cycles or based on government advice.

Sensible measures have been put in place, increased amount of hand cleaning wipes, cleaning products for staff, increased diligence to cleanliness and protocols based recommendations by the government and our service providers like Royal Mail.

Everyone here at Geoffrey Butlers wants to thank you for your support in the coming weeks, and wish you well and good health.

SHOP

Saturday we will be opening the shop to members of the public. We ask all customers to respect the social distancing rules, including the handling of stock in store.  We will limit the amount of people allowed in the store to maintain social distancing, and based on staff levels, but will do our best to keep you from queuing in the bad weather.

Monday to Friday we are operating a “No Browsing Rule”. A member of staff will help with your requirements and will bring the product to the counter for purchase.

SERVICING AND REPAIRS

The workshop is stull fully operational but our staff will work with customers on a suitable drop-off time and collection time once the work has been carried out.

WE CERTAINLY DONT WANT TO BE UNFRIENDLY BUT PLEASE REMEMBER SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES.
KEEP A MINIMUM OF 1-2 METRES AWAY FROM OUR STAFF AND OTHER CUSTOMERS AT ALL TIMES, NO EXCEPTIONS.

It may be easy to forget, or even think its silly to do things in a manner to never get within 2 metres of each other but it is important!

- Need to hand over an item or a bike to a member of staff? Place it down and step well back away from it allowing someone else to step forward to collect it.
The same applies the other way, allow a member of staff to step back from the item or bike before moving forward to collect it.

-Doors. If you see someone coming through a door, forget manners, don't hold it for them, step right away and allow them a clear path 2m away from you before you approach the door. If you can, avoid using hands on the door, try an elbow or shoulder.

-Be as quick as you can. Get in, and get out!

Again.. we don't want to sound unfriendly but all this is really for the best, and only for the time being!


ON-LINE STORE

We will be operating the online business. Website orders and eBay orders will be picked, packed and dispatched as quickly as possible.

Sensible measures have been put in place here too, increased amount of hand cleaning wipes, cleaning product for staff and general care when handling your items for postage.

Top tip, when your parcel arrives, it is a good idea to bring it in and place it somewhere safe and leave it 3-4 days before opening and handling it.

If you are showing Coronavirus symptoms we would ask you to refrain from visiting us and instead make use of our online services.

What are your Opening Times?

THE SHOP FRONT IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. THE ENTRANCE WILL ONLY BE USED FOR DROP OFF AND COLLECTION OF BIKES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

The sales team will be behind the scenes to take calls, emails and help where possible.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 2pm - 5pm
Thursday: CLOSED
Friday: 2pm - 5pm 
Saturday: 10pm- 5pm
Sunday: - CLOSED

Can I still bring my bike in for a repair or service?

Our workshop is fully operational and we are currently accepting bookings throughout the coming weeks. For bookings and updates call 02086885094

Are there any expected delays to my order arriving?

All orders will be despatched within 48 hours, except for Thursdays when the shop will be closed and orders will be despatched Friday. Royal Mail and AtoZ couriers are currently operating as normal, but delays can be expected, we ask all customers to be patient but on request we can track parcels.

Do we have enough toilet paper?

Yes.
